Welcome and Introduction from the Club President

Introducing Our New Club President: Sue Wogatske

As the newly elected President of the Damascus Travel Club for the 2025-2026 term, I am eager to connect with all our members and embark on new adventures together. Having lived in Montgomery County for most of my life, I’ve always valued community involvement and have volunteered with several local clubs. I believe strongly in the importance of giving back. Before my husband’s passing, we enjoyed traveling and cruising frequently, and I continue to explore new places with friends, family, and especially alongside fellow Damascus Travel Club members.

Seeking a Club Chaplain

With my transition into the President’s role, we are now seeking a volunteer to serve as Club Chaplain. The primary responsibilities include offering blessings at events that involve shared meals and occasionally sharing a story or meaningful reflection. The Chaplain also leads the November Memorial Service. The most essential qualities for this role are a genuine love of people, a caring heart, and a good sense of humor. If you are interested in serving, please reach out to me directly.

Our Bad Weather Policy

If Montgomery County Public Schools are closed due to bad weather, there will be no meeting.
If schools are delayed one or two hours, we will meet at 1 PM as usual.
If schools close early, there will be no meeting.
Any meeting or trip cancellations will be noted on our website and our Facebook page.

What We Do For Our Members

We offer trips with club members and friends, as well as opportunities for socializing at 10 monthly meetings and quarterly luncheons. We also plan a free picnic on a Saturday annually in August.
If you love people, to have fun and to travel this is the club for you. You will try new experiences, enjoy the company of other travelers, all as someone else is at the wheel doing all the work for you. The time spent with this club is so relaxing. All you need to do is come along!

Ireland was a great trip. Very organized and we covered a lot of territory: great sites and countryside. Perfect sunny weather was a surprise! Can't wait for Italy in April!

What a wonderful trip today for all of us who travelled to Sight & Sound in Lancaster, PA, for another amazing show and then on to Miller's Smorgasboard for another delicious meal! What a treat to be able to see these shows every year with the DTC!

We've been on several trips. The prices are fair and reasonable, and include so many things.

The Ireland trip was fabulous. We saw a lot in a short period of time. Collette did a great job of communicating and attending to all details. Can't wait for the next trip.
